i first tried rum balls (german christmas delicacy) at the Birmingham german christmas market with stephanie and we both fell in love with them, one cost gbp 1.50 ( what a rip off!) but we went back each year to the market hunting for it

so I decided to make my very own rum balls fuelled by steph's attempt over summer! did some research online, and chose this
recipe. that i thought would resemble what we had at the market. bought the ingredients ( rum cost me 5 quid, but nvm, being able to make my own rum balls made me happy!) and got cracking!
made 27 with the recipe, its really easy but time consuming to manually crush the biscuits ( my own hands did a better job than my blender) and roll the balls in chocolate sprinkles. ran out of choc sprinkles eventually and used dessicated coconut instead.
brought some to my student project meeting, spanish christmas themed class and one each for the doctors that i wanted to thank since yesterday was my last day at City Hospital. ( felt quite embarrassed handling only one rumball to the doctors) my friend immediately asked me for the recipe and went to buy the ingredients that night itself. boy was i brimming with pride :D
will be making more to give out as christmas present =)
